I appreciate the safeguards built into our election system, including limits on how much candidates can contribute to their own campaigns. I’m able to contribute approximately $2,800 to mine, which means any campaign expenses beyond that need to be covered through donations. Here’s a quick facts sheet from Elections BC about contribution limits and regulations: Local Campaign Contributions.
If you’re able to contribute, in any amount, your support would be greatly appreciated. Any B.C. resident who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident can donate to the campaign and you can e-transfer your donation to jpcolwood@jenniferparlee.ca.
For donations over $50, I’m required to collect your name, mailing address, and residential address if it’s different. You can include this information in the message box when completing your e-transfer. If you live locally and would prefer to donate by cheque or cash, I’d be happy to come by and pick it up. Just send me an email and we can arrange a time that works for you.
